She’s unusual—but he’s seen far stranger in his passing days. Strangeness unlike anything he has ever thought of, advancements in technology that lies on the entirely opposite side of the spectrum which he rests on. It makes the reactions to his presence priceless—apparently, people don’t open carry here. But that’s not his main concern.

There’s strength in numbers, and one is not where he wants to be, until he learns more. And what better way to learn, than experience first hand?

…It’s a rough start.

“Excuse me, menina… But would you happen to have a craft with room for one more? I will pull my own weight.” How embarrassing. A once-proud samurai who proudly sits upon his place in the Rodrigues bloodline, with a slight smile and a wise glint in his eyes. But situations change, and he must adapt, surviving by any means necessary…

Even if they are not so flattering.

Unfamiliar footfalls alone are enough to sell the presence of a stranger out. Heavy set, but not krogan, meaning they’re likely armed. Turian, perhaps?
But no. That is definitely the voice of a human, male, and–well, it’s no surprise that he wants something, but rather that his request is…peculiar. It has been some time since someone has asked to travel with her.

      “No,”

The response is neither malicious nor indifferent; merely to the point. Aubergine lips part–close–part again. At last she turns on the ball of her foot, lays eyes upon the stranger, and rocks back onto her heels.
Well. She has certainly not seen armor quite like that before. The sharp blue of her eyes has a reputation of being unsettling and somewhere in the back of her mind she entertains the thought that this is the case now as she scrutinizes him.

And then there is eye contact. Arms fold across chest and Samara gives a subtle tilt of her head.
“No,” she continues, “I don’t own a craft. I travel for free.”
This much is true. Her presence aboard asari vessels discourages acts of piracy. In the past the justicar has struck deals with talented individuals–perhaps now she will strike another.

“However, you seem willing enough, and so should you provide me with a little more information on yourself I might be inclined to extend these travel benefits to you as well, under but a single condition. Perhaps we will begin with a name.”
